As far back as she can remember, Deborah has always been an animal lover. She has had a fondness and empathy for pets ever since she was a child. At the age of sixteen Deborah was already grooming and caring for her own two dogs. In 1979 she started her career showing and breeding Standard Poodles, and has been involved in the pet world ever since. Deborah added American Cocker Spaniels to her breeding and show program. A program featuring many Canadian and international group placing champions, all of which can be found under the Be-Mine kennel name. In 1990, after learning expert show grooming skills and after achieving the status of International Professional Master Groomer, Deborah opened her own grooming shop, Groomingdales Pet Spa. The Pet Spa was soon followed by the Academy of Grooming, a school where Deborah shared her masterful skill with students, teaching the art of grooming professionally. Her skills as a teacher and as a groomer became famous in BC's Lower Mainland, and she was granted the position of host on the well known TV show, "Pet Zone". Deborah hosted Pet Zone for over three years but because of her increasing responsibilities at the new Just About Pets Wellness Centre, she has had to put the show on hiatus. 

On top of Deborah's impressive credentials, she is also a certified Tellington Touch practitioner and has been a conformation judge and guest speaker at many animal oriented functions. The Just About Pets Wellness Centre is Deborah's latest and perhaps most ambitious venture yet into the pet world. She saw a need for a place that brings all aspects of pet care together under one roof. A place where the well being of peoples animals is top priority. It is with this intention in mind that Deborah has opened the doors to the Just About Pets Wellness Centre and included all aspects of holistic pet care within its walls.
