Jean Hercus (Asst. Instructor)
Having been a Fine Art Major in college, Jean
enjoys expressing her creativity and skill as a professional groomer. Growing up
on the prairies, Jean has been around animals all of her life. From cows, calves
and chickens on her grandparents' farm to the horses she learned to ride and
groom as a teenager, Jean's innate love for animals has always been apparent.
Her interest in grooming began early on when,
as a child, she helped her grandfather groom the collies he bred. Having been
raised in a family of pet lovers, Jean began to train and groom her own pets,
most recently her beloved Burmese cats. She has a deep love and respect for all
animals but especially cats.
These early experiences with
animals have allowed Jean to become a confident and compassionate groomer. As a
graduate of the Just About Pets Professional Grooming Course, Jean is glad to
have found a work environment that complements her interest in natural,
homeopathic care and her love of animals. She now passes what she has learned on
to new students with the same patience and care that makes her a good groomer.
